Galentine’s day is February 13th!

For those of you unfamiliar with our new favorite fake holiday, Galentine’s Day is a holiday made up by Leslie Knope, a character on the NBC show Parks and Rec. On Galentine’s day, you get to forget about the impending doom of Valentine’s Day and celebrate your female friendship with your best girlfriends. In this post, we’ve put together some sparkly and fun ideas on how to host your very own Galentine’s Day Party!

The Decor

For such a special holiday, you’re going to need some extra special decor. For starters, you can never go wrong with a photo backdrop, like the one we found on I SPY DIY. We love how pretty it is!
We also love decorating with banners, and this one from Short Stop Designs actually has donuts on it!
You can also make a wall of paper hearts, like this one from How About Orange.
The Menu

Leslie Knope is obsessed with breakfast food, so for your party, try doing an easy interactive food station. Try some of the ideas on our Galentine’s Day menu below!
The Galentines
Galentine’s day is all about celebrating the best in each other. Luckily, we’ve found some printable Galentines in case you’re having trouble finding the words (via The Secret Life of Us)!

The Tunes

The folks over at The Caitlin Diaries have even put together this amazing playlist, which will help get your party started.
Aside from that, all you need are some really great gal-pals, and you’ll have no problem remembering what’s important in life:
“Friends, waffles, work. Or waffles, friends, work. Doesn’t matter, but work is third.”
Happy Galentine’s Day from All Occasions Catering / Bubb’s BBQ!
